Romans Road to Salvation
Have you ever thought of what would happen to you today if you were to die?
Would you just die?
Would you be a ghost?
Would you go to Hell?
Would you live forever in Heaven?
Our goal is to help you be 100% assured that you would be going to Heaven if you were to die today.
Below are several Bible references and a link to the Bible to research for yourself and get you started.
The most important things we need to point out is that the only way to heaven
is through Jesus Christ and being saved by his grace.
What does it mean to be saved?
To be saved means you have been delivered from the penalty of your sins, which is eternal death
to enjoy and live in the presence of God forever in heaven.
Please don’t take our word for it though. Please reference the Bible for yourself.
Below are some good verses to start with.
Consider the following Bible truths:
It takes being righteous for a person to go to heaven. what do you think? are you righteous?
What is ‘righteous’? Being righteous can be summed up as being without sin,
or without doing something that is wrong from God’s holy viewpoint.
Romans 3:10 will show you who is worthy of heaven.
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none Righteous, no not one (Romans 3:10 KJV)
You may ask, “if there are none righteous then where does that leave me?”
You might ask, “Surely we are not all Sinners are we?”
Well, the Bible would point you to the answer to that question and it can be found in Romans 3:23.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23 KJV)
Wait a minute, how is it “everyone” has sinned? Take a look at Romans 5:12.
Romans 5:12 Wherefore by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;
and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (Romans 5:12 KJV)
You see, due to man’s original sin, carried out by Adam (found in Genesis 3:1 to Genesis 3:24),
all people are born into the world in sin, and due to our sin we now have death in this world.
Read Romans 6:23 to help you better understand.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God
is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23 KJV)
Wow!! The wages or payment for sin is death? How can you get to heaven then?
According to Romans 6:23 it is through the gift of God which is Eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
But why would he give us a gift of eternal life? It is because He loves each one of us
and wants us to live with Him in heaven. Take a look at Romans 5:8
Romans 5:8 But God Commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.(Romans 5:8 KJV)
Ok, that helps to answer ‘why’ ? Now the question is what must I do to be saved?
If you read Romans 10:9 & 10 it will help to point you in the right direction.
Romans 10:9&10 (9)That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9&10 KJV)
Many people make this decision much harder than it needs to be. God’s Word teaches us
that if you simply and sincerely believe in your innermost being that Jesus took your place and died on the cross
for the payment of your sins, and that God raised him from the dead on the third day (found in Matthew 28: 1 to 20)
you will be saved by your confession of being a sinner and asking the Lord Jesus to forgive you of your sins.
Because we are not righteous (none of us are), the only way to heaven is to ask God
to forgive you of your sins through believing prayer. Romans 10:13 it will help to clarify this truth!!
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13 KJV)
If you call upon him for salvation God promises to hear you and you will be saved!!
If you believe that you need Christ in your life I encourage you to go to God in prayer
and sincerely pray a prayer like the one below and mean it in your heart:
Heavenly Father I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my sins.
I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is your perfect Son who had no sin,
And that he died on the Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come in to my life
and be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent of my Sins and will seek to Worship you all the day’s of my Life!.
Because your word is truth, I claim its promise of eternal life and confess with my mouth that I am Born Again
and Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus’ Name, Amen
If you have prayed this prayer and truly meant it in your heart ,
God’s Word assures you that you now have eternal life.
See John 6:37 and John 10:27-29.
